The Little Details

  • TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ME...

you'll have to wait just a bit longer. My About Page is in progress thanks to some great questions asked of me, by all of you.

Before long you'll know more about me than you ever really hoped or wanted to know. And I'll take this little paragraph down and replace it with a tidy little link to my about page.

  • MY WORDS AND PHOTOS...

If you see something you'd like to use, please just email me and ask first. I'll probably say 'yes', but it's always nice to ask. Thank you kindly!
  • YOUR COMMENTS...

make my day. Seriously. I look forward to hearing from you and feel pretty amazed that you'd take the time out of your busy day to share your thoughts. They are always full of inspiration, encouragement and great ideas.

It's part of what I love about this community. I'll do my best to get back to your comments quickly, especially when you have a question for me.

    So please, say hello!

(why are my pictures looking so blurry on typepad lately?)

Emma was rockin' the guitar yesterday afternoon. She wrote a song about missing spring, which had me confused because we also had a barn cat named Spring whose life ended tragically early a few months ago. But when she started singing about leaves and flowers and sun, I knew what she was talking about. I told her it must have been a really good song that she wrote because the chorus was stuck in my head for the rest of the day...."I miss the flowers and trees...I miss the flowers and trees." Anyway. It was better 'live'.

Have you seen the Christmas paper punches from Martha Stewart crafts? Oh my. I'll be "reviewing" them over at babycenter later this week. It is an easy review. They are so fun and they've got great cutting action. They are easy for little hands to use, which can be both good and bad.

I did a little blog freshening this weekend--a new banner and I changed the font styles more times than I wish to admit. I'm still itching to update my "fresh inspiration" which isn't so fresh anymore. Not that the inspiration is gone, I just haven't updated it in awhile.

My goal this week is to get some Christmas cookie baking in. I haven't really been in the Christmas spirit yet. We are waiting for a box of our Christmas decorations to arrive from Wisconsin, so I think when it gets here, that will be all the inspiration I'll need. Last year I felt like we started a little early so I think that's why I'm dragging my feet this year.  And maybe if I got a handle on my Christmas gift-giving, I'd feel better, too. One of my favorite things to do is just put greens and holly all over the house. Maybe I'll work on that this week, too....

Hope you're all having a lovely monday...

I love your banner! You better hurry up and get in the spirit, it's only 2 weeks away! ;o)

I am not really in the Christmas spirit yet, either. I don't know why. I WANT to be. Desperately. But I think between sick kids, scary deadlines, and a house too messy to decorate, I'm just not there yet. Here's to some Christmas spirit for both of us.

Love your new banner, btw.

feeling a bit humbug myself....

I love your new banner.

And I thought getting the tree would put me in the mood, but we tried on Sunday and they were SOLD OUT! I am on the waiting list for a tree. Could you believe it?

Add me to the list of mama's not yet feeling the spirit. It doesn't help that it is nearly 80 degrees at our house today. Everyone is in shorts, Humbug!!

Your new banner on the other hand is gorgeous and Does make me feel very Christmassy, unfortunately I can't sit around looking at that all day.....

I love the new banner! It's marvelous :)

Your banner looks awesome! Great picture.

Love the new banner too. I have been needing a new one, but this winter lighting is no good for taking pictures! I guess we need to bundle up and get outside during the day for some photo ops.

not feeling humbuggy but definitely dragging my feet on the tree and the decorations. and i had my cards ordered SO early and they're *still* not mailed. :^P

Haven't seem those paper punches yet. Very fun! Reminds me of my teaching days with the die-cut machine!
