The Weekend Report
::new kicks. still working on the tying part. but she's getting there::
::snuggling in a favorite spot, sucking on a favorite spot. (so good when you finally get control over that fist and get it to stay in your mouth.)::
::rushing to bring in the hay before a Monday of rain (which has yet to show up)::
::doing all we can to avoid nature-deficit disorder, (my new read)::
::coming in for bed under a beautiful sky::

Looks just about perfect. Those sweet baby cheeks are scrumptious!

I LOVE the new shoes! Abby just got some new "school shoes" this weekend too. Hers don't tie though... they're velcro. Orange is possibly the best color in the world... especially when it lights up the sky the way it does in your last picture. Ahhh... summertime!

oh what a sky! your kids are certainly in the throes of nature. lucky girls. (louv's is a powerful book isn't it! i think about the implications of living in suburbia often...)

Your pictures are truly inspiring. Your girls are so lucky to be growing up in such an amazing environment! If you ever want to adopt my family we would love to live at your house! :o)

I'm not sure how you do it - but each of these photos is more gorgeous than the next...
The shoes! That gorgeous baby! That sky! That flowery smile... I could go on and on, but I'll just leave it with a great big THANK YOU for sharing all the goodness with us...

I read Louv's book last winter and loved every word. So thought provoking. And certainly rings true with me. I would love to hear your thoughts on it when you are done.
Blessings friend!
